Mike Chittick

 

Michael James Chittick passed away on January 8, 2014 with his wife Carol and family friends Dick and Marcia Liddiard by his side after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
 
Mike was born on June 15, 1944 to Jim and Geraldine Chittick in Lafayette Indiana.
 
Mike graduated from Frankfort, Indiana High School in 1962 and continued his education at Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana where he graduated in 1967 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
 
He worked for Chrysler Corporation in the following capacities from 1967 through 2003. Corporate Management Training Program with Chrysler Corporation, Detroit, Michigan from 1967 through 1969.
Industrial Engineering Department at Huber Foundry, Detroit Michigan from 1969 through 1974.
Fostoria Foundry, Fostoria, Ohio from 1974 through 1977 as Industrial Engineering Supervisor and as  Manufacturing Superintendent.  Trenton Engine, Trenton, Michigan as Industrial Engineering Supervisor from 1977 through 1979. He worked on Staff, Detroit, Michigan in the Industrial Department from 1979 through 1983.  Chrysler/New Venture Gear, Syracuse, NY as Industrial Engineering Manager and Production Manager from 1983 through 2003.
 
Mike retired in 2003 and he and Carol traveled the country in their Winnebago motorhome which he enjoyed immensely.  He was also an avid NASCAR racing fan.
 
Mike is survived by his wife Carol of 39 years, his son James (Michele) Chittick and granddaughters Sarah and Olivia.

Wouldn't it be great to see The Silver Jets one more time!  Mike and the band gave us alot of joy!
